BOGOSIAN'S "SEX, DRUGS, ROCK & ROLL"
AT HERBIE'S

The Midnight Company will present Eric Bogosian's SEX, DRUGS, ROCK & ROLL, performed by Joe Hanrahan and directed by Rachel Tibbetts, August 1 through August 17 at Herbie's Vintage 72. Tickets are on sale through Brown Paper Tickets.

Bogosian's solo shows, which also include DRINKING IN AMERICA, WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE and POUNDING NAILS IN THE FLOOR WITH MY FOREHEAD, are scorching social commentaries on the urban and suburban scene – presenting portraits of contemporary men, from the homeless to possession-crazed millionaires to fading rock stars - "scabrously funny " (Boston Phoenix) and "combustibly funny" (Newsday) monologues exposing their hidden fears, hypocrisy and rage.

Joe Hanrahan, Midnight's Artistic Director, has performed several of Bogosian's scripts, (Midnight was the first company permitted to present THE WORST OF BOGOSIAN), and recently was seen in Midnight's SOLEMN MOCKERIES.

Rachel Tibbetts is a founding member of Slightly Askew Theatre Ensemble, and has directed SATE productions of MACBETH, BURN THIS, THE WOMAN IN BLACK, and most recently, BACHELORETTE.

In addition to his solo shows, Eric Bogosian has also written the plays TALK RADIO, subUrbia and GRILLER, the novels MALL, WASTED BEAUTY and PERFORATED HEART, and coming up this Fall his first non-fiction work, NEMESIS, about the assassination squad that avenged the Armenian genocide of 1921. Last Fall he performed 100 MONOLOGUES over a series of several weeks for The Labyrinth Theater Company in New York City, and the website, 100monologues.com, features a variety of actors performing Bogosian solos.

Herbie's Vintage 72 is one of the classic, premier dining and drinking establishments in St. Louis. A special pre/post-theatre menu will be available before or after the show, cocktails will be available for the performance, and free live music will follow Sunday performances. Performances of SEX, DRUGS, ROCK & ROLL will be Friday August 1 at 8 pm and Sunday August 3 at 7pm; Fridays August 8 and 15 at 8pm, Saturdays August 9 and 16 at 8 and 10pm; and additional Sunday performances August 10 and 17 at 7pm.
